Shavuot 5786: Inner/Outer
May 21 @ 7:00 pm – 11:59 pm PDT

On Shavuot, we celebrate the giving and receiving of Torah at the shaking, thunderous Mt. Sinai — a time of revelation and an offering of profound knowledge and wisdom.
This year at our Tikkun Leil Shavuot at Nefesh, we will focus on the inner/outer relationship of Revelation and how our inner lives and the world around us are always in a dynamic dialogue with Torah. We’ll dive into a thought-provoking panel of therapists and social workers from the Nefesh community (each representing a different modality) discussing how inner growth connects with the world around us and how the world shapes the direction of our learning and growth.
In addition to the panel, the night will be filled with learning with Rabbi Susan and Rabbi Aaron, musical offerings and t’fillah (prayer) with Duvid and Sally, hands-on art art activities, yummy cooking with Tannaz Sassooni, a sound bath, plus snacks, drinks, and in the spirit of milk and honey, a delicious dairy dessert potluck oneg!
Bring your favorite milk and honey-themed dessert to share!
