Yom Kippur Morning Service
September 28, 2020 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
A day—a full day—to dive deep into our hearts and lives with tools to guide us. An ancient pathway unfolds. No matter where we find ourselves we set this day aside.
9:30 am Yom Kippur morning: Our ancient tools lead us through an inventory of our lives and move us to listen. Prayer, poems, Torah reading, song, opening, inspiration.
Yom Kippur afternoon offerings will include Forgiveness Discussion, movement and meditation.
Yom Kippur Afternoon Family Service – September 28, 3pm
Join us for a Yom Kippur interactive afternoon family service. Song, prayer, movement, and story. You are most welcome to invite other families to join this service.
We encourage you to prepare for the service by gathering these supplies: a coffee filter, washable markers, and a bowl or bucket of water.
Yizkor and Neilah – September 28
- 5pm Yizkor
- 5:30pm Neilah
We honor all those in our lives who have died. With all the complexity and layers of grief in these times and how grief changes over time. We will be held in song, prayer, ritual, and memory.
We encourage you to gather photos of your loved ones who you are remembering and mementos that remind you of them and put them around the space that you will be streaming the service. We also ask that you bring a small rock with you to this service that you will place during the service.
The Holy Days come to an end as the sun begins to set and we imagine the gates closing. Our voices rise. A powerful final service filled with energy, possibility and hope.
