Associate Music Director
Sally is incredibly inspired and honored to be making music with Duvid Swirsky and the rest of the Nefesh band and community, which has become the spiritual home she longed for and would have chosen, regardless of her official role. For that, she is grateful.
Sally grew up in St. Paul, MN, in a home that was steeped in Jewish tradition and overflowing with music, and the two were inextricably linked. Each gathering and holiday was heightened by lots and lots of singing in harmony. But as an adult, it wasn’t until she formed a friendship with Rabbi Susan, who was just beginning her path toward becoming a rabbi, that Sally began to merge her Jewish identity with her identity as a performing musician. As Rabbi Susan moved through the various communities that ultimately led to Nefesh, their friendship expanded and evolved organically into a spiritual and professional collaboration. She is incredibly inspired and honored to be making music with Duvid Swirsky and the rest of the Nefesh band and community, which has become the spiritual home she longed for and would have chosen, regardless of her official role. For that, she is grateful.
